Young Ringers Page

We have quite a group of youngsters at Thrybergh. The eldest is Paul Phillips who is 12 years old and has been ringing with us for a few years. Paul rang his first quarter peal for the Golden Jubilee, when he rang the treble to Plain Bob Doubles.

We have three younger girls , Sophie, Hannah and Emily who are learning together. Sophie's older sister's  Rebecca and Natalie used to ring with us, so she is carrying on the tradition. Hannah brings her mum Julie Lavin along to ring and Emily brings her Grandad, Reg Margetts from Whiston to help us out on Wednesday nights.

Recently a family has joined us to ring. Mark Pitcher used to ring 25 years ago at Wath and has waited until his daughter, Ruth, was old enough to have a go, to start again. So Ruth brings along her dad and also her mum Val, who has started to ring as well.Ruth's younger brother, Alex, comes along to ring handbells. Another youngster who rings handbells with us is Heather and she brings along her mum Jayne Hart.

This  year we were asked to ring handbells at Thrybergh  churches Christmas Fair as well as run the tombola stall! and this is where Reg took the photos for us
